Join us for our annual celebration of the season as your family enjoys stories, interactive tours, and holiday art-making. Craft a decorative gift tag, design a dazzling ornament, and try your hand at our holiday timeline. Take away not only your charming creations, but also memories of a fun afternoon together. Free, drop-in program. Special Bonus! Add a Clayton family tour to your Cool Yule experience. Special family-friendly tours are offered at 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Free to children ages 12 and under and to member adults; regular tour rates apply for non-member adults. Tours are most appropriate for kids ages 6 and up. Advance reservations required. Call 412-371-0600.

Gingerbread Workshop

Holiday Family Workshop: Build Your Own Gingerbread House
Ages 6-12 with an adult.

Calling young architects! Enjoy the fun of building your own gingerbread cottage with icing and lots of sweet decorations. From gumdrops on the rooftop to ice cream cone landscaping, adults and children work together to create confectionary masterpieces to take home. A quick tour of Clayton’s holiday finery is included in this special family event. Meet at the Education Center. $18 members; $21 non-members and guests, free to accompanying adult. Advance registration and pre-payment required. This program is sold out.

Bring your creativity to the Frick art studio the second Saturday of every month. Families with children of all ages are invited to explore different and unusual materials or find fresh new ways to use familiar paper, paint and pencils. Free, drop-in program.

Pet Tales

A self-guided experience for families to get moving, learn and have fun!

Families are invited to gallop, waddle, waggle, and prance across the Frick’s “fetchingly” beautiful grounds while learning about the pets that lived at Clayton.

Stop at the Visitor Center for our new Pet Tales at the Frick walking guide and enjoy an animal-themed jaunt meant for people! Go at your own pace and take yourself­—and your family—for a playful walk! FREE.
