The gorgeous, glamorous portrait of Julia, Lady Peel, by the artist Thomas Lawrence, is the inspiration for an exploration of portraits and fashion in Vermeer, Monet, Rembrandt: Forging the Frick Collections in Pittsburgh & New York with Laura Engel, Ph.D.
Dr. Engel specializes in eighteenth-century British literature with a focus on drama, gender studies, performance theory, material culture, and theater history. Ticket price includes a light reception. Advance registration and pre-payment required.
