Learn and practice using a compass through the fun of Letterboxing, a Victorian version of geocaching. Make your own ink stamp, become comfortable with taking compass bearings, then follow clues, puzzles and riddles to find boxes and stamps hidden throughout our 5.5 beautiful acres. Call today to sign up for your 2.5-hour session. Letterboxing is most appropriate for 3rd graders and older. $8 per scout; minimum payment for 8 scouts per troop. Advance registration and prepayment required. Call 412-371-0600. Although many requirements are met through this activity, no badges are awarded.

Girl Scout Programs

The Frick welcomes all levels, offering hands-on workshops and tours for Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts, custom-designed opportunities for Senior and Cadette troops and even programs for Daisy Scouts.

All programs are interactive and hands on. Scouts can experience beautiful artwork and create their own masterpieces in response; play parlor games and handle antique household items as they tour a 150-year-old mansion; or explore five acres of lawns and gardens letterboxing their way around the site.

Friendly booking + personalized attention + fascinating collections + small groups + cozy beautiful site add up to the best Girl Scout field trip you’ll take!
