Members are invited to spend an elegant afternoon celebrating the opening of our newest exhibition, French Moderns: Matisse / Renoir / Degas.
Drop into our Community Room (across from the Car & Carriage Museum) any time between 12 PM and 2 PM for light refreshments and an afternoon inspired by the bold creativity that positioned France as the artistic center of international Modernism from the mid-nineteenth to mid-twentieth centuries. Create your own floral decoupage bookmark to take home and spend the afternoon with your fellow members embracing l’esprit du salon.
This Member Afternoon is included with your free member admission to the French Moderns Exhibition. Advanced registration is encouraged.
This event is exclusively for Frick Members! Not a member yet? Visit TheFrickPittsburgh.org/Membership to learn more and sign up.
Complete your afternoon with discounted admission to Impressionism and Beyond: Making Art Modern in France, 1850-1950. In this talk, Lisa Small takes us back to nineteenth-century Paris to survey the emergence of the successive avant-garde movements that shocked and dismayed the art world. Members enjoy a discounted rate of $15 for this lecture. Space is limited, and advanced registration is encouraged!
