Take a tour of the historic grounds at the Frick Pittsburgh and learn about the gardens, both past and present! As a recognized Arboretum, the Frick is home to dozens of tree varieties, some dating back to the 19th century. Enjoy the 10 acres on this casual stroll through history and horticulture. This tour will also highlight ties between the Frick Pittsburgh grounds and the paintings of French Moderns: Matisse / Renoir / Degas. Total walking distance of the tour will be about .5 miles.
About the Living Collection Series
Explore the the natural world with the Frick's ongoing Living Collection Series. Through walks, tours, lectures, and more, the Living Collection Series uses the Frick's grounds as the backdrop for learning and connection. As an accredited arboretum, the site features dozens of varieties of trees and shrubs, in addition to decorative and vegetable gardens and a historic greenhouse.
