Description:
Spend an evening with celebrated local poets and student finalists of the Frick Ekphrasis Poetry Contest as they read commissioned work in response to the stunning designs presented in Maker & Muse. Ekphrasis is the long-standing exercise of artists rhetorically describing another’s work. Literally translated: “to speak out.” Poets creating verse about a piece of art, deepening our understanding of the craftsmanship and design.
