Description:
Prof. Tim Barringer introduces Victorian Radicals with a suggestion that many of the major issues facing us today have origins in the Victorian era. Looking to the past for models of lost social cohesion and aesthetic beauty, the Victorian radicals imagined a future in which art and life were reconciled and created colorful, vibrant works of art envisaging a better world.
