Frick Art Museum Temporarily Closed
The Frick Art Museum is temporarily closed while between exhibitions. The museum will reopen on August 6, 2024. Clayton, the Car and Carriage Museum, the Café at the Frick, and the grounds remain open during regular hours, Tuesday – Sunday.

Summer Fridays at the Frick

Celebrate 10 years of Summer Fridays at the Frick, and 30 years of music on our lawns during our 2024 Summer Fridays season. You won't want to miss this year's extraordinary lineup!

Join us for activities starting at 5 PM. Music performance starts at 6:30 PM.

2024 Summer Fridays at the Frick are June 14, July 12, August 2, and August 23. Join us for live music, food trucks, artmaking, and family fun on the beautiful Frick lawns! See the full season schedule below.

The Museum Store will remain open until 6:00 PM and the Grable Visitor Center will be open for restroom access until 8:00 PM. The Frick Art Museum and the Car and Carriage Museum will not be open during Summer Fridays.

For the safety of our visitors and historic structures, we ask that you please:

  • Leave pets at home and don't interact with animals on the grounds
  • Walk wheeled devices (bikes, scooters, skateboards, etc.)
  • Refrain from using balls, frisbees, hockey sticks or engaging in rough play
  • Keep a watchful eye on your children
  • Don't climb on trees or landscaping
  • Clean up after yourself and your group
  • Refrain from smoking or vaping
  • Don't use open flames of any kind
  • Leave drones or other arial devices at home

Please park bicycles at the racks near the Penn Avenue and Reynolds Street entrances and do not ride them onto the garden paths or grass.

Season Schedule

Performances begin at 6:30 PM on the North Lawn

Vocal Confluence presents “How Far I’ll Go,” an evening of diverse music from jazz to pop to good ol' barbershop. From the songs of Walter Donaldson to Sara Bareilles, we’ll embark on a journey together celebrating the strength of the human spirit and the enduring power of resilience. Also featuring a special intermission vocal performance with Dallas Chapman, Professa T, and Jasmin brought to us from our neighbors at The Lighthouse Project. A donation of $5 per adult is suggested.

Plus, enjoy music by Kristel Davis at the beginning of the evening, from 5:00-6:15 PM, in front of the Grable Visitor Center. Kristel is originally from Paraguay, South America. She is a member of the Pittsburgh Classical Guitar Orchestra, as well as the American Recorder Society. She enjoys making music with both orchestras as well as performing solo concerts.

Our 3rd annual Make Music Day Pittsburgh celebration continues this night with partners:

Brighton Music Center & Unisound’s instrument petting zoo, offering youth and the young at heart the opportunity to learn more about a variety of instruments through hands-on interaction.

Farina Foundation will collect instruments of any kind for their donation drive. The foundation furthers the vision of namesake Frank J. Farina, Jr. by providing scholarships, donations of refurbished instruments, financial support for instrument rentals, and lessons to children in need.

The Lighthouse Project is a teen center housed inside the Homewood-Brushton YMCA. The Lighthouse is an exciting place for teens to be creative, connect with peers, and access cutting-edge media and music technology.

This evening performance celebrates the closing weekend of Vermeer, Monet, Rembrandt: Forging the Frick Collections in Pittsburgh & New York exhibition. Daphne Alderson sings the longing of a "Girl Interrupted at Her Music," in a love serenade to art and its magical healing powers. Join us under the sun, moon and stars for a magical evening with mercurial chanteuse Daphne and her extraordinary St. Michael Chamber Band. A donation of $5 per adult is suggested.

The music of cellos and drums will fill the air on Friday, August 2 at Summer Fridays at the Frick! With a fusion of classical virtuosity and rock energy, Cello Fury delivers a captivating performance that pushes the boundaries of musical genres. A donation of $5 per adult is suggested.

Enjoy an evening of dynamic elements and instrumental classics from the Middle East, those songs that appeared on classic vinyl records with flying carpets and fezzes on the covers. Ishtar Vintage Bellydance Band brings you songs that are ethnically authentic with a sound that is an organic fusion of jazz with traditional melodies of Turkey, Greece, Egypt, and the Balkans. A donation of $5 per adult is suggested.
