Description:

Experience the lore of Scandinavia through the tabletop roleplaying game, Vaesen. Based on the artwork of Swedish illustrator and author Johan Egerkrans, Vaesen brings Nordic folklore and myths to life in a fictional Gothic setting through facilitated, role-play-based gaming.

Start the afternoon in the galleries of the The Scandinavian Home: Landscape and Lore exhibition, where you’ll be immersed in the culture and lore that inspired the game. Next, return to the Frick’s education center and step into the mythic North where legends are real and creatures lurk in the dark. Players will be divided into groups of 2-6 for game play. No experience required—a game master will teach rules, facilitate the game and guide your journey!

Due to the horror content included in the game, this program is 18+; advance registration and pre-payment required. Registration includes admission to the exhibition and refreshments.
